Overnight at the Desert Gardens in Uluru resort

After a morning relaxing by the pool our last day at the Ayers Rock resort included a tour of sites sacred to the Anangu people where you get up close to Uluru, sunset at Uluru (beautiful, but not massively different to sunrise TBH)  and an hour gazing at the stars of the southern night sky at a location free of light pollution with powerful telescopes and someone who knows how to use them. I've now seen Saturn with my own eyes. And I want a telescope.

The word of the day is Tjukurpa, a system of traditional law and ethics that guide the Anangu people's lives, passed down from one generation to the next.
