As we say goodbye to Uluru and head back to Sydney one thing we won't be sad to leave behind is the flies. The glossy brochures don't mention that there seems to be approximately 1 billion flies per square metre in the outback. Not the big fat flies we get in the UK. These are small, fast moving, persistent little bastards and every one of them is determined to get up your nose or into your ears. After about a hour walking around in the stifling heat, constantly flicking them off you get to the point where you seriously consider cutting your own head off just to get some respite.

Anyway...... we're back in Sydney for a couple of days and this evening had a drink and a bite to eat at Circular Quay overlooking the Opera House and Haaba Bridge.
